Philippians in a week: Part 2

It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Where the truth about Christ is preached God is glorified :)

Father, you gave Paul the strength to say:

Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

… by your power, enable me to say the same!

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ… [then] I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.

Its not rocket science. Our conduct matters. Its the proof of our standing firm within the gospel.
